El panel "Global Agrarian Colonization: Imagined Futures, Space, and Expertise along the 20th Century " tiene una convocatoria abierta hasta el 18 de septiembre de 2023 para presentar un paper en el marco del Cuarto Congreso Mundial de Historia Ambiental. 

Este panel explora la historia de la colonización agraria dirigida centrándose en el espacio, la experiencia y los futuros imaginados. A pesar de su impacto en los órdenes rurales, la historia global de la colonización agraria sigue siendo un vacio de  investigación. Nuestro objetivo dar un paso en la discusión sobre colonización agraria como conocimiento global a partir de casos de todos los continentes.

Prevemos luego de la conferencia la preparación de un volumen especial sobre colonización agraria desde una perspectiva global.

Convocatoria:  " Global Agrarian Colonization: Imagined Futures, Space, and Expertise along the 20th Century "

Dear colleagues,

Our panel “Global Agrarian Colonization: Imagined Futures, Space, and Expertise along the 20th Century” was accepted at the World Congress of Environmental History in Oulu, Finland in 2024!

This panel explores the history of directed agrarian colonization with a focus on space, expertise, and imagined futures. Despite its impact on rural orders, the global history of agrarian colonization remains a research gap. We aim to collect cases from all continents. After the conference, we plan to produce a special volume on agrarian colonization from a global perspective.

The call for papers is open until September 18, 2023. We want to invite you to participate and spread the word among colleagues who you think may be interested in this conversation.
